After supreme court verdict against him, recent speech of Pakistan Prime Minister in parliament proves that gulf is widening between Pakistan ruling class and judiciary which is very unfortunate. It seems true that after long year of dictatorship judiciary is still passing through critical stage of its history in present democratic government. Despite recent Supreme court verdict against him Prime Minister claims that no one can remove him from power except parliament. True reality is that in democratic culture no one is above the law. High ranks and positions can’t give permission to anyone to do anything above the law. Former US president Bill Clinton, French President Francisco Mitra, Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi summoned several times in courts after legal charges. Unfortunately due to lack of interest and lack of coordination with judiciary by ruling class corruption is becoming part and parcel of country daily life.
Most of corruption stories are coming from government own camps and ordinary people are paying high price. Due to corruption and political interference all major public institutions Pakistan Railways, Pakistan International Airlines, All government Banks are taking their last breaths. Recently authorities informed supreme court that majority of ministers from Baluchistan province are involved in corruption cases. Country is passing though worst stage of its history and instead of solving problems of poor people and provide relief to general public battles of words still going on between major political parties in Pakistan. PML boycotted the latest parliament session and announce long march against government and claim that after recent supreme court decision prime minister has lost his credibility.
