Tension in Persian Gulf between Iran and US

According to media news a  fisherman was killed and three others were wounded   when a US navy ship fired at their small boat in Persian Gulf. According to US officials US ship verbally warned the smaller boat when it was  several  meters  away and also fired  warning shots before the real shooting. But people on small boat claims that no prior warning was received before real shooting which killed one fisherman and wounded three other. India demanded immediate probe of incident after killing of its national. Tension is high in Persian Gulf after new sanctions imposed by European Union on Iran. 

Iran threatened to close main oil supply route and continues to perform military exercises to close the vital oil shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz. US State Department already warned that US will resist any effort if Iran try to close main oil supply route. Now presence of US war ships in the  region, purposed missile defense shield program in the region and shooting  incidents  like  this can further spoil situation. At the time when things are  already going bad to worse after war in Syria and several European countries are facing worse economic and financial crises new war adventure in the region can bring further disaster for already ill world economy. Mounting tension in Persian Gulf is also harming the oil market oil rates have already dropped below 90 dollars per barrel.
