US AID

                       According to media news US House of Representatives has rejected an amendment   to ban  military and economic aid to Pakistan. Pakistan will also get extra 84 million dollars after reopening of NATO supply route. Pakistan is one of the largest recipients of US assistance and nearly 3 billion in US aid to Pakistan is planned for year 2012. True reality is that last several years US aid served only interest of  elite class and corrupt politicians in Pakistan and could not change fortunes of ordinary Pakistani people. Despite large amount of foreign aid foreign debts have already reached sixty two billion dollars and country is facing worse energy and power crises. Pakistani people believe that large amount of money have already gone in Swiss Banks through corrupt politicians and Pakistan supreme court trying hard to bring back this corruption money but due to lack of government interest it seems impossible task. Instead of providing money to unpopular and corrupt elements US should try to make good relations with ordinary Pakistani people. Direct US investment in energy and power sector can bring better results and also win hearts and minds of ordinary Pakistani people. Pakistan is also seeking role in US and international markets to boost economic activities in country specially in textile sector. Due to worse peace conditions, worse energy crises and government failed economic policies foreign investment has already dried up in country and graph of unemployment is raising very rapidly. Now government is seeking another loan from IMF on humiliated conditions and despite large amount of foreign aid ordinary Pakistani people find nothing to improve their lives.
